The Michelin paper was found in a second hand bookstore. Michelin paper is best known for being the paper Seurat used to achieve his atmospheric drawings with conte crayon. The textured surface of the horizontal and vertical lines running through the paper comes from the racks the hand made paper was dried on. This paper is no longer commercially produced.

The orange dots reference a grid pattern that was on the pages of my original sketch book that was a reference for these works.
